What personal data the portal collects (account details, listing contact data, newsletter address), the legal basis for each, how long it is kept, and who processes it on our behalf. As the portal stands today it sets no cookies at all and runs no analytics or advertising scripts — there is nothing to consent to. If analytics or advertising are ever added, they will be off until you opt in, this page will list each cookie by name and purpose, and consent will be withdrawable here.
The web server writes a standard access log — time, page, status code and user agent. We aggregate it on our own machine into daily totals; there is no analytics vendor, no third party, and none of it leaves the server. The IP address is not kept in those totals: it becomes a hash with a salt that changes every day, so the same visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next.
The rules for using the portal: acceptable use, accuracy of listing information, responsibility for transactions agreed between users, intellectual property in portal content, and how disputes are handled.
How news is sourced and attributed, how corrections are made, and how sponsored content is labelled — it is always marked and never presented as editorial.
